Hospital Visit

This morning Doug woke me up at 1:30 A.M. messing around in the bathroom. I just knew something was wrong so I asked him if he was OK? He says to me NO I think I have a kidney stone again. You see 2 years ago Doug woke me up one morning pretty close to the same time screaming and curling up in a ball on the floor of our bedroom. I immediately loaded him in the car and rushed him to the hospital there they put in IV in shot him up with pain meds and checked him out. The Conclusion he had 4 kidney stones and he was in the process of passing one 5mm. We was sent home told that he may pass more in the future or they may never bother him again but he does have 3 more in his kidneys and it was up to them on what they wanted to do. Well this morning one decided it wanted to put Doug through pain. So we arrived at the hospital at 2 A.M. saw the triage nurse who tried to start Doug on his IV's, stuck him 2 times and nether one took so he was admitted right away, but this time we was put in a large room with 3 other people. Last time we had our own room and we had a TV to watch this time we had nothing, so it made for a long tiring morning. After being in there for at least an hour and Doug with a pain level of 8 out of 10 I poked my head out of the curtain and asked the nurse if she was ever going to give him something for his pain. A nurse who must have been new to it all decides she wants to stick Doug and get his IV started, he warned her good luck and don't stick me if you don't think you can do it. She messed around with his veins for 20 minutes and decided nope I cant find nothing and I don't want to mess up any other veins that the head nurse can hit. So she reports back to the head nurse in the mean time Doug is sent to get a CT scan to find out where the stone is. About 20 minutes later and he is back but is no longer in any pain and is telling me to tell the head nurse to cancel all pain meds he no longer wants them, I said are you sure and he said yes I don't hurt. While he was in the room waiting for his scan he had a few extremely painful pains and scrunched forward and back a few times, well it appears when he did that it moved all the way down to his manly part. Now he knew all he had to do was pee it out. He decided he wanted to try, so he peed in a container and strained and said it was hurting so he knew it was right there, but it never came out. Finally about 3 hours after all that the Doctor came in and told Doug exactly what he thought happen. It moved and now all he had to do was pass it. We was sent home with a pain med prescription and Doug said I'm going to work. I'm thinking yeah right go home and rest, I know I'm tired and want to. But he insisted to go to work, which made me feel bad, so here I am tired as all poop at work and ready to go home and nap. But anyway now its just a waiting game, and I will keep everyone informed if more comes up.

Good Samaritans

So yesterday when Doug got home from work his dad called him and said he had a mess at the house, that the basement was flooding and would he come over and please help him fix the pipe that was broke. Doug goes over there and decides he needs to turn the water off to the house in order for them to fix the broken pipe. So Doug hops on the riding mower and heads up to the end of the road to where the water valve shut off is. He gets down on the ground laying face down to the ground with his arms in the ground trying to shut off the valve when a car stopped, Doug didn't here them stop but when he looked up he saw the 2 ladies standing there and was like can I help you? The 2 ladies were like are you OK? Doug says yes I'm fine, but puzzled why the ladies are standing there asking him if he is OK. They proceed to say, we thought you fell off your mower and was hurt or the heat got to you and you passed out or something. Doug said no I'm OK. The ladies went on there way. After they left a total of 7 other cars of people stopped to check on Doug and make sure he was OK!

There is actually people in this world that still do care. And I thank each of for checking on my hubby!

My Thoughts For the Day

Will it ever happen for us?
Will I ever be able to carry a baby?
Will I ever be able to experience what every mother gets to experience?
Will I ever know what it's like to take that pregnancy test and see those two pink lines?
Will I ever get to see the look on my husbands face when he finds out he's going to be a daddy?
Will I ever get to hear my baby's heart beating?
Will I ever get to see my baby on that monitor for the first time?
Will I ever get to see my belly growing knowing, it's growing because my baby's in there?
Will I ever get to go through labor?
Will I ever get to hold my baby for the first time?
Will I ever get to see my husbands face light up in aw as he holds our baby for the first time?
Will I ever get to see my mom and dads face as they hold my baby for the first time?
Will I ever get to experience life as a mother?
Will I ever get to see my husband be a father and daddy?
Will I ever get to thank God for my miracle baby instead of praying for my miracle baby?
Can I even get pregnant?
God, Heavenly Father, We pray for a healthy happy baby. We trust in you that when the time is right, you will bless us with our bundle of joy.
Amen
