A Busy Month

Doug's cousin was married a while back but decided to have a small reception back here at home on the 4th. They served dinner and desert and it was a family reunion all over again. Even though I never met any side of this family.
The kids went with us and were well behave until close to their normal bed time and Bryce got crabby. By then the party dies down so we decided to head home and get the kids to bed. We just relaxed the rest of the night.

The next day Aug 5th my Aunt Barb had a family party for the return on my cousin Lizzie from Haiti and for my grandmas B-day. We all ate and swan.

Aug 6th I took a half of day off work and took Lilly to her eye appointment. All checked out perfect and Lilly has perfect vision. Since we was done early I called daddy and had him pick up Bryce so Lilly and I could go to Mills mall and do a little shopping. She was a perfect angel.

On the 8th Doug, His sister and Dad and I went to the cards game. Sue got her company seats and great seats they are but it was a poor game. We lost like 12 to 1

The next day I started to come down with a cold and couldn't get into the doctor so I went to Walgreen's well care clinic were she diagnosed me wrong. More of that to come!

On the 11th finally I started to fell better so Doug sister, and mom took Emmy and Josh to the zoo so we met up with them later in the day since it was so nice. Around 1 we headed home and I started to feel sick again. My chest hurt and I couldn't breath. We had plans to meet daddy in New Baden at the picnic but as soon as I got home and got the kids down for a nap I decided to call him and ask him to come home early, he was down at the farm and take me to the ER as I really couldn't breath good. After he got home around 2 hours later I felt some better and opt to not go. But call the Doctor and got into him first thing Monday morning Aug 13th.

Good thing I did I was sicker than the nurse thought at Walgreen's and had bacterial infection that almost collapsed both lungs. I was sent up to rest with steroids and antibiotics. A week after my meds and I feel great.

On the 17th The twins had their 6 month wellness check up with shots. Surprisingly they did great this time and did cry long or hard. And this time I had daddy there to help me. Dr. Wagner said they both looked great, but Lilly was a little behind physically and we needed to get the therapy people out to work on her to built her up stronger.

Also on the 17th we went to lunch at Red Lobster and while we was there as I was heading out of the bathroom at fight broke out between 3 black ladies and their waitress. It was a crazy day

On Sat the 18th we attending a benefit for my family members that were hurt while working on Highway 64. 4 men in my family were hit by a driver speeding down the highway. 1 man my cousin Dennis was killed and the 3 other men seriously injured. To help these men and their families they held a benefit were around 3,000 people showed up to honor them and donate. It was a great time and I got to see tons of family that I don't get to see that often.

And so far this month has more to come!

Friday the 24th the kids turn 7 months old.

Sat we are all heading to the Zoo for Employee Day for Sues Company. Sues Company built the new seal aquarium so they are having a special day where we can join them for lunch and have the park to ourselves for free rides on train, carousel, etc.

Then that night the farm family is coming in town and we are all heading to Fairmount Racetrack for Party at the Park night. Kristi Doug's cousin who is prego herself is going to watch the kiddos and get a dose of about what she has to look forward too! Good luck Kristi Bryce is a mess!

And then last on the 27th the therapy people will be out to evaluate Lilly to make sure she is eligible for therapy. Fingers Crossed!

Oh yeah and Bowling has started! Look forward to may great scores posted by me and Doug. Yes Doug has joined the bowling world again!

Happy Birthday to the best Auntie and Sister! Sue Buehrer on Aug 30th

6 Month Wellness Check up

Well the kids had their 6 month wellness check up this past Friday even though they will be 7 months old this Friday.

Bryce is 18 lbs 10 oz 27" Long.

He is doing great and progressing wonderful.
Dr. Wagner said he is ahead of schedule and within weeks will be crawling so we better get down on the floor to his level and baby proof fast.
Big man now can have a sippy cup, any table foods that he may want that wouldn't choke him. Pasta, Mashed Potatoes, Green beans, fruits etc.
He is currently still in size 2 diapers and wearing 9 or 9-12 month shirts and 6-9 or 9 month shorts/pants.

Lilly is 11lbs 3oz 24" Long.

She is also doing pretty good, just a little behind her brother.
Dr. Wagner said she is not as strong as she would like her to be yet or were she should be for a 7 month old but she will get there and with a little health from Children and Family services we will get her there. Right now Dr. Wagner said she can only do what a 4 month old can do physically but she is smart as a whip and can do everything else that her brother can do.
Lilly loves her baby food and not so keen on her bottles as much anymore and she still needs her formula vitamins and protein so we have been mixing her formula/cereal with her baby food and she loves it. No go on the sippy cup yet, she is not ready.
Lilly is currently still in newborn diapers but is pretty close to be ready to switch to 1's. So we are going to use up what we have and switch her over. She is now in 3 month clothes

All in all the kids are doing great and minus a tiny cold they had last week they are as healthy as can be.

You know you are a mom when...

Every room in the house, has baby stuff laying around

If you stash baby wipes in every room and a burp cloth on every piece of furniture, in every vehicle, and in every purse/bag.

Your kids face light up and they smile when you pick them up after work

Exercise is bending over and picking up your chunky monkeys, or you get down on the floor to play with them

"Experimenting" is finding out what your child may or may not like to eat

When you have any extra $$ it gets spent on the kiddos because it is either too cute, I think they must have it and/or it is on sale! Which most of the time the case with me, momma likes bargains

Every day is fashions show...I change the kids clothes several times before I find the right outfit, most of the time it is because they have outgrown the one that I tried on.

When your children has more clothing than you do, and you are proud of that

ONE picture is NEVER enough!

Sales at Carters, or The Children’s Store and clearance at Kohls is exciting!

You can't go anywhere, including a trip to Target, without the diaper bag, which has every item sold at Babies R Us stuffed inside!

By the time you eat dinner it is cold!

Multi-tasking is your middle name!

When going somewhere and forgetting one thing throws off the whole trip!

You feel like you have had an "accomplished" day if everyone is happy, the house has been picked up, everyone has been fed and is in bed ready to start the day over again tomorrow

A "treat" includes caffeine or shopping alone!

You can do anything and everything one handed!

You can't imagine your life without your little ones!

Your heart could explode because it is so full of love!

You would go to any extreme to make them happy!

When you start looking at diaper bags the same as you did those awesome coach purses currently hanging in your closet

If you can take a shower, do hair and makeup in less than 10 minutes (with an audience)

When baby wipes are more valuable than money at any given time of day in any given location.
If everything you ever need is on the floor of your car.

If you’re “me time” usually consists of daddy watching the baby for 30 minutes while you clean up the kitchen

If you get baby poop on your hands or you get puked on and don't even flinch

Now it is YOUR turn!

You know you are a mom when...
