The Twins First Parade

So the twins went to there first parade a few weeks ago. This was one of the days before it got so stinking Hot outside!

Here they are chilling the stroller waiting for it to start with their fans blowing on them.

Both of them did really good, never wined or cried until the firetrucks came. Poor Bryce apparently hates loud noises and the poor boy screamed his head off and of course the parade was the Caseyville Firemens Picnic so it was all firetrucks. After they were all gone we had a few floats and he was all good again. Lilly she didn't make a peep and actually she fell asleep even with the firetrucks horns blowing. We see who the tough one is going to be. And I definitely know Bryce hates loud noises because last week we went to a friend from high school Danielle's wedding and the table next to us won a challenge and hooted and hollard and when they did Bryce freaked out and screamed again, I guess that boy has sensitive ears or something. OK I will just admit it he is a Wimp!

After the parade we did head to the picnic for a few, saw a few friends and then the band started and with the way Bryce is we decided to head out so the band wouldn't hurt their ears. Plus we was hungry anyway. I dropped Doug and the kids off at home and I ran to the store for dinner. Hopefully the next parade we go to will turn out to be a better experience. We shall See!

How The Weeked Turned Out

Well Friday after work I did a few stops of returning and shopping, then headed home to get my kiddos and get ready to go to the Caseyville Parade and picnic. And let me tell you this was a disaster trying to pack what we needed and then the kids, I didnt think we was ever going to leave and make it on time but we did. So finally we leave and we are crusing along, kids watchig their DVD and Doug and I just chatting aloing not paying attention when I pass up my exit. Whoops! so we go a little out of our way and think great we are for sure going to be late now. But no we made it with 10 minutes to spare.
Everything was going good and the kids where being really good until the firetrucks sounded their horns. Lilly not a peep out of her, Bryce screaming at the top of his lungs. so I try and cover his ear but no luck so I pick him up and try to comfort him till they are al gone but of course since its a fireman's picnic there is going to be 20+ fire trucks. So needless to say the poor boy cried for a while. After they were gone he calmed down and I set him back in the stroller and gave him some apple juice and he was a good boy again, Lilly asleep.

After the parade we headed to the picnic and met a friend I havent seen in years, she is getting married this Sat. Her fiance was a fireman in the parade. After we was done saying hi we headed over to the stands to check them out and the band started to play which was really loud, didnt seem to bother the kids but I was afraid it was going to hurt their ears so we decided to leave and get some dinner. On our way out we poped into some friends that live right by there and said Hi and chated for a few while. While talking Bryce shit his pants and made a stink and then decided to cry cause he was poppy and ready for a nap so we said our goodbyes and headed to the car. We changed both kids in the back and then home we went.
I dropped Doug and the kids off and went to the grocery store to grab food to cook for dinner. After I got home both kids asleep Doug and I made dinner, watched TV and went to bed.

Sat morning I got up around 8 and found Doug sleeping on the couch, because the dog got him up early to go out potty and then Doug couldnt go back to sleep so he laid on the couch to watch TV but feel alseep anyway. When I got up I made coffee and watch TV till he woke up and by then the kids got up Doug made breakfast and then went out to shoot his bow while the kids and I had quality time together.
After a few hours they laid down for their naps and I headed outside and set up their pool so it would warm uo and they could get in it later or the next day. The day goe son and we have our reg feeding and diaper changes and they whole time I am thinking I wanted to go shopping to bad, guess I wont get to today.
Later the night we decided to meet our friend Johhny for dinner at Shomees where we watch the Hooters swimsuit pagent. Really Hooter competition at Shommes! After dinner and the show it was 11 and the guys had to get up early the next day to go shoot their 3d bow tounrey so we all headed home. Doug and I got the kids went right home and to bed they went and to bed we went. 5 am Doug alarms go off and he cant hear them so I wake him up, he thanks me, gets up, gets ready and leaves and I finally got back to sleep till 8 when I wake up on my own.
With the kids still sleeping I get up make coffee and enjoy it wile catching up on facebook.
After I was dont Bryce is getting restless and I am getting bored so I go and get him up even though he wasnt fully awake yet. We feed and then I go get Lilly up and feed her. When she is done they both play in their jumpers till tired and lay down for their naps. Doug gets home and naps himeslf and at this point I am tired and need a break. So he gets up I finish dinner and then head to walmart for food for the kids and just to get away and out for a hour.
when I got home both kids asleep for the night. We watch TV and go to bed ourselves.

Now here I am again back at work starting a new week and looking towards Friday!

P.S. After work today guess what I am doing? Im going shopping, Finally!

Mascoutah Homecoming

So Yesterday Doug and I brave the heat for as long as we could and we went to the Mascoutah Homecoming. We got there about 5:30 and went to the park where the end of the parade would be and got to see it all. It was so hot just standing there and then it decided to sprinkle a few her and there which just aggravated me more because then it messed with my hair. Oh well I was hot and a mess anyway why not add to it. After the parade was over the first thing was to get a soda for me and a bucket of beer for the Hubby. Then we headed over to the big tent to meet up with some friends Johnny, Artie, Ben, and Strubie. Standing there they had tractor pulls. These are fun to watch but after so long of me standing my back kills me and I have to sit down. I am not that big yet so I cant imagine how bad its going to be when I am huge. Anyway Doug and I sat down and after about 30 Min's sitting there we talked about just going home. We was hot and I was tired and sore, so we left and headed for home. We decided we would go home and watch a movie together but as soon as I got there and hit the couch I was out for the night. I think Doug watched half the movie before himself went to bed. Sunday was an all day of Bingo for me and Nascar for Doug.

Freeburg Illinois Parade

This year one of Doug's buddies Billy, one of Johnny's & Bonnie's brothers lives in Freeburg so we went to visit him & his family. It was his wife Penny's' Birthday so we had plans to take here out but the weekend we went they were having there fair. Earlier in the day Billy, his daughter Alisa, his sister Bonnie, Doug and I went to the parade. Penny stayed home with the younger Daughter because she wasn't feeling good. So we got to the parade and wow it was packed but we sat with Penny's parents and family. Alisa and I decided to sit on the side of the road and I would helped her catch all the candy so she had enough to take home to her sister. Well we sure didn't have problems catching any candy, they was throwing so much at us that we couldn't keep up picking it all up. Then I turned around and Doug had a full bag of those fruity tootsie rolls. Apparently one of the kids on the float threw the whole bag because he was family. The parade lasted for about 2 hours, one of the biggest parades I have ever been to. One thing that I have to point out was Doug's Short bus made the parade. I told Doug he better hurry and catch it but don't forget his helmet & ball. And Don't lick the windows!

After the parade was over we headed back to the house to pick up Penny and take here out for her birthday. Bonnie decided to stay home and watch the girls so we could all go out. We had plans to go to dinner at a restaurant called Valentines, but they had an hour waiting list so we went to a Mexican restaurant. When we got there the place was also packed so we sat outside. After dinner was over and we was enjoying a few margaritas we decided to pay the bill and head to the fair. As soon as we got the bill, BOOM all the power went out. Not just at the restaurant the whole city. Apparently someone hit the power pole in town and shut the power out for everyone in Freeburg, parts of Belleville, Smithton, and 2 other cities. Since this happen we decided we would sit her and drink till the lights came back on. After they did we headed to the park and I met up with a friend that was supposed to meet us there. The park was still running this whole time because they was on a generator. So while she waited she let the little man Daniel ride some rides. And let me tell you one of the rides there was the ferris wheel, but not just any ferris wheel this was the smallest ferris wheel I have ever seen in my life. After walking the park we decided to watch the truck pulls. This was my first time ever to see this normally I see tractor pulls but not truck pulls. After the last pull around 12 am we decided it was time to call it a night and headed home. I didn't make it I was sound asleep and poor Doug drove home with me snoring, but we made it safe and sound.
