Memorial Day Weekend

So our Memorial Day Weekend didn't exactly go as planned.

Friday night I went out with the girls (a much needed girls night it had been over a year since this has happen) Amanda met at my house around 5 met the kids that she had not seen yet and they are 16 months old, that's how long its been. We got ready around 6 and then headed out the door around 645 to be at Zappatas for dinner at 7.

Amy and Ken met us there around 730. By then Amanda and I already finished half of our first Margarita. We enjoyed our dinner and then headed over to Wild Country.

The night was going good, we was dancing and drinking. Then the shots started flowing and after a few to many everyone was getting hungry again so around 230 am we decided lets go to Denny's. As we was leaving somehow Amy missed the concrete step as she was stepping down and she fell, but when she did her chin hit the step and she busted it open. I immediately put pressure to it and just knew it needed stitches so her and Ken went to the hospital and the next thing I know Amanda left with some guy she met at WC so I went home alone.

The plan was that all 3 of them was going to stay at my house but its a good thing they didn't. I got home around 3 am and fell right asleep.

Around 330 am Bryce woke up screaming his head off. Doug got up with him and they went at it up and down all night long till around 6 am when he woke up screaming again to the point my drunk ass heard him so I got up to check out what was going on and realized Bryce was having trouble breathing, so I thought it was best to take him to Children's Hospital and it turned out to be a great idea.
When we got there they knew right away it was serious and took him straight back to his room and put oxygen on him, his levels were in the low 80's. Then he received 3 breathing treatments over the next few hours now the levels were up to high 80's. He also was swapped for viruses and had an Xray done to check his lungs. Both of those came back negative so they were clueless on what was wrong with him. At this point, they thought it would be best to admit him.
We was admitted to the PICU put in our own room since they didn't know what Bryce had and he was put on isolation (Gowns, masks and gloves). Days go by and they monitor him, give him treatments and he was kept on oxygen. By day 2 the doctor said in order for him to go home he has to be off oxygen 24 hours, so lets take it off and monitor how he does. Before they took him off his oxygen levels were running 92-95

Bryce was doing great, a normal kid again that wanted to play and run.

That night Kristi and the family BBQ so they brought Doug and I up a plate. It was so delicious.

This whole weekend that we was in the hospital with Bryce the MIL and SIL kept Lilly and I missed her so much. Saturday our plan was to go to a graduation party but since that was not happening Lilly got to ride in the car with them to the party. I don't allow this for many reasons so to say I was a nervous wreck was a understatement. But they went to the party and made it home safe. But trust me that wont be happening again unless something like this happens again. Sorry Sue but I just don't want my kids in the car with anyone but Doug and I. I know you told Doug that you will be extra safe, and its not You I am worried about. Its the other people out there. If someone would hit you and Lilly were to get hurt and I wasn't there by her side  I would be very pissed off. So that's why I don't allow my kids in your car or anyone elses.

By Monday the doctors and nurses all conversed and did there review on him and decided that he was well enough to go home. They did never figure out what he had but they think it was a Viral bronchiotits Lung Infection and don't believe he has asthma like me.
We headed home.

When we got home we took Bryce to see grandma and grandpa and Aunt Sue. Showed mom the new instructions on Bryce and then headed home to eat and relax. We were so wore out from no sleep at the hospital (being woke up every hour) that I decided to take Tues off and then also that way I could keep and eye on Bryce for one more day.
Good thing I did cause he pediatrician wanted to see him for a follow up.
There he got a good report and his oxygen levels were back to 100%

So a 3 day weekend of BBQ and parties turned into being a weekend in the hospital.

This Weekend's Plans

We have a busy weekend ahead of us.

Let me say first off I am running out of time getting all the kids presents wrapped so I guess I will start on the wrapping tonight.

Friday after work its time to hurry home and get ready to head over to the country club were Doug's company is having their employee Christmas Party.

Doug and I went to this last year for the first time ever (I was 7 months pregnant) and he has been with the company for over 10 years now. We never went in the past because they usually have it during deer season and god for bid Doug wont miss deer season for anything.
I am looking forward to this, the food was delicious and everyone is so nice.
I have a feeling the babies pictures will be out because everyone will want to see them.

Saturday Morning Doug, Sue, Mom, Dad and the kids and I are all taking a small road trip to Springfield, IL for some shopping time. Apparently there is a big mall out there, and a place called Shields which I was told is better and cheaper then Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's. We will See!
Oh and we are having lunch at a place called Quaker Steak and Lube, we heard they have awesome wings and food.
I have plans after we get home to wrap more presents, but I'm sure we will be wore out.
Again we will see!

Sunday morning will be breakfast day. Wrap presents and relax till that evening and then its off to Aunt Em's (or what she likes to call Great Gram to the twins) for dinner and tree decorating time. Every year its a tradition for all the kids to come over and put an ornament on the tree. This year we  added 6 new kids to the family so 6 new ornaments that will be added to the tree.
We bought for Bryce a Happy Feet 2 ornament since the kid is addicted to the movie and watches it  at least 2 times a day. And we got Lilly a Minnie Mouse playing with a puppy as Lilly likes to do with Tanner!

So that's my busy weekend! I hope everyone else has a great weekend!
Oh yeah I am hoping to take pics from these weekends plans to post for Mondays Blog Post.

Branson, MO Trip 2012

So every year Doug's parents, Sister and I always go to Branson around the first weekend in November. This year Doug decided to go with us since we have the twins, usually he is hunting!

We left Thursday night after work around 5 pm. Around 7 or so we stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrel. Normally we just go through Stake N Shake but thought it would be best to let the kids have a break and then it gives us a chance to feed them and hopefully they sleep the rest of the way there. And of course we had to do a little shopping while we was there, and my mother in law made a mistake and didn't catch it till we was already at the vacation house but she paid double for the purse she bought Lilly, she just thought the price was $20.
But anyway we ate dinner which was terrible and got back on the road. Finally around 10 we arrived at our vacation house in the Ozarks. We got all un-packed and tried to put the kids to bed. No such luck, one they were in a strange place and two they didn't have their bed and that's usually the only place they will sleep. Lilly didn't give us much troubles and went to sleep, Bryce on the other hand not a chance. We fought him for hours before I gave in and just said let him sleep in the big ass bed with us. Doug was opposed to this but finally gave in and it worked. The first night Doug didn't sleep scared he was gonna roll over on Bryce, I slept OK but would wake up if there was any movement from Bryce at all. And of course several times he did wake up screaming and I would hold and rock him back to sleep.

Friday morning rolled around and around 9 am we all headed out. First we had breakfast at Ihop (Yummy)! Then we headed to the outlets.

(Lilly getting her very own Coach purse from aunt Susie) and her ears pierced.

We then headed to dinner at Joes Crab Shack (a fun time)
I love Getting Crabs
Crabby Momma
Crabby Daddy

Crabby Pants

After dinner we was headed to see the Baldnobbers Show, If you have never been to this show you should really go. It is so funny and tons of fun! This year for the show we had shirts made for the twins that read: Our First Trip to the Baldnobbers. These were a big hit by the staff and thought it was a great idea and may start making them.

My First Trip to the Baldnobbers

All the singers in the show are all family and generations of family. One of the singers Joy Bilyeu-Steele became very close to our family so we decided to get a few pictures of her holding the kids at intermission, but it ended up just being Lilly since Bryce fell alseep half way through the show. Then we got one more with all of all the girls Joy, Megan and Patty. Patty is the mom of the show and Megan dates Pattys son Brandon who is also in the show.

After the show was over and as we was leaving Joy stopped us in the parking lot and talked to us for a few more minutes. We thanked her for a great evening and cant wait to see them all again next year.

Finally it was time to head home and hopefully get some sleep.

This time taking no chances Bryce was laid down in our bed and the kid and I slept all night long, Doug not so much because he got to listen to us snore all night long, and actually recoreded it on his phone. The next morning we also found out that his Dad didnt get to sleep much either as mom kept him up snoring all night long to.

Saturday morning Dad dropped Sue and Mom off at Silver Dollar City and then met Doug, the kids and I at Ihop for breakfast again (yummy)!
After we was finished since dad got no sleep he went back to the house to sleep while Doug the kids and I went exploring. We was going to see another show or the Ripleys Believe it or Not place or other shops, but we ended up just doing more shopping. We first went to the landing where we popped into my Step Mom Rosyln whom we have never met but adore. While there she bought the kids a shirt for Christmas. (Thank You Rosyln).

After we was done there we happen to see earlier in the day a sign for a craft store that I wanted to check out so Doug took me there. This turned out to be a awesome store that Doug even loved and wanted to take his mom back there the next day. After that store we headed to the Christmas landing so I could get the kids first Christmas ornament and do other shopping.

After we was done there it was finally time to meet his parents for dinner. We went to an all you can eat buffet. It had whole lobster, crab legs and tons of seafood side items for $31.99. So worth the money and we are for sure going back there next year. After dinner we headed back to the house to relax. Doug finally got to sleep through the night!

Sunday morning Doug got up early with the kids and I slept in for a little. When I got up the kids were playing and watching TV everyone else was anxious to get going so I hurried up and got ready. First we took his mom back to the craft store and then we went to lunch and then more shopping before heading over to Springfield MO to the Bass Pro shop there cause the one in Branson sucked this year.
After shopping there it was straight home with a small pit stop in Sullivan for gas and dinner around 7. Around 10 we finally made it home and all went to bed.

Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun filled Vacation and cant wait to do it all over again next year.

The Twins First Parade

So the twins went to there first parade a few weeks ago. This was one of the days before it got so stinking Hot outside!

Here they are chilling the stroller waiting for it to start with their fans blowing on them.

Both of them did really good, never wined or cried until the firetrucks came. Poor Bryce apparently hates loud noises and the poor boy screamed his head off and of course the parade was the Caseyville Firemens Picnic so it was all firetrucks. After they were all gone we had a few floats and he was all good again. Lilly she didn't make a peep and actually she fell asleep even with the firetrucks horns blowing. We see who the tough one is going to be. And I definitely know Bryce hates loud noises because last week we went to a friend from high school Danielle's wedding and the table next to us won a challenge and hooted and hollard and when they did Bryce freaked out and screamed again, I guess that boy has sensitive ears or something. OK I will just admit it he is a Wimp!

After the parade we did head to the picnic for a few, saw a few friends and then the band started and with the way Bryce is we decided to head out so the band wouldn't hurt their ears. Plus we was hungry anyway. I dropped Doug and the kids off at home and I ran to the store for dinner. Hopefully the next parade we go to will turn out to be a better experience. We shall See!

The Weekend Plans

So for this weekend we are busy, actually for the next few weekends we are busy! Crap what am I talking about I have 5 month old twins I am always busy! LOL!

So anyway today is Doug's Mom's Birthday so the family: Sue, Mom, Dad, Doug, Me and the Kids are all going to Carlyle for all you can eat Crab Leg dinner. We was going to go to the Alton Belle for theirs but we don't have a babysitter. After dinner the kiddos are going back to Doug's parents and Doug and I are going out with the gang. I read online that there is this new Brew pub in O'Fallon that opened, they have 50 different beers on tap and 200 different bottle beers. I have a feeling Mommas getting drunk again tonight.

Saturday night Jim and Jana have invited us all over to the Lumiere Casino. Jim plans to gamble while Jana watch the fireworks. And then they want to go out places afterwards. So another night out of drinking.

Now on Sunday, I planned on doing nothing but recovering from my weekend and spending all my time with my babies but I need to go grocery shopping for items for my spa party. But after that its all relaxing time.

On Monday I will be spending my time after work cleaning and scrubbing my house for the spa party on Tuesday, which I am so excited about!

Wed, Thur and so far Friday no plans but then again on Saturday we are having a party at our house because Mr. Bobby Jakel wants to see the kids before they go off to college! LOL! and this is his only free time. So I guess Friday we will be busy preparing things for the party. Saturday will be a blast we have friends coming in town from places all around and faces we haven't seen in a long time.

OK I just realized I got ahead of myself and spilled my plans for next week which then gives me nothing to post next week. Crap!

Just a few other fun things that are coming up and keeping us busy:

We have a Dinner Auction the next Saturday. Let me tell you I love me some auctions and trust me I will always win what I want no matter the cost, so go ahead and try and out bid me but your not going to win.... I will hound that item till the final minute.

My Family Reunion is also Sat the 14th and we was going to go, but of course now we are having that party at our house and since there is people coming from far away places we have to back out of the reunion. Besides it wont be the same as my grandma wont be there and it keeps dieing down over the years and my side of the family doesn't really go.

Also on Sat Aug 18th we are having a very large benefit for my family members that were hurt and Dennis that was killed on the hwy 64 construction accident last month. More auction Time!

I know there is tons more of things we have planned but I guess I will leave that for another post!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

A Night Out with Great Friends

So Last night A friend of Doug and Myself won a party at Hotshots in O'Fallon so Doug and I got a babysitter and joined Johnny, Loopy whom we haven't seen in months, Mark and Chris Kisro whom I haven't see in months, Scott who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC and we haven't seen in over a year, Jim and Jana Luden and Skippy who moved back to Seattle who we haven't seen since last Christmas I do believe. This was a great night full of tons of conversations lots of appetizers and lots of beer drinking. Oh yeah and the one shot I did, Thanks Skip! Cheers to you and Jana!

About 10 times that night I swear I went to the bathroom, yes like my husband I am a small bladder girl. But one particular time as I was headed to the potty I look over and there is about 5 people standing over this one girl, I think to myself what is going on, did she get drunk and fall off the bar stool? So I go potty and come out and Nosey me had to stop and stare, but now there is 3 cops and a few seconds later 3 Paramedics. I watch for a few minutes and the girl slowly gets up and gets on the stretcher before she passes out again. So I walk away and go sit down. As I sat down they were wheeling her out the door and she was out cold. Later we found out from our waitress that she was a bartender there and she was off but in there to talk to a manger who was also off but she wasn't taken care of herself and yes she did fall off the bar stool and hit the floor hard but that was because she started flopping around like a fish because she had a seizure. I hope that poor girl is OK. I know what she went through and she has a rough road ahead of her as when I had my seizure it took a tole on my body and it took me a while to bounce back from it.

But anyway after all that drama we sat around and chatted some more till I looked up and it was 11 pm Holy cow Doug and I have to work tomorrow and we need to get the kiddos home to bed so we decided its best to head out but we already had plans set for this weekend with all of our great friends that are in town visiting. Next Post Weekend plans update!

4th of July 2012

This years 4th of July was the Twins first one.!

On Tuesday after Doug and I both got off work we packed the kids and car and headed down to the farm for a little BBQ and Family time!

The kids were passed around all night and were good for the most part considering they didn't have naps.

Lilly now that is a different story, right now she is in the stranger danger stage and if she don't know you or has never seen you and you hold her be prepared because she is going to cry.

Around 8 or so which is pretty much the kiddos bed time they both got really fussy so I rocked them to sleep and laid them in the outdoor bed I bought for them. Bryce slept the whole night until we left around 10. Lilly only for a hour in her car seat.

But all the way home they slept and as soon as we got home they got their diapers change and Jammie's on and never woke up and went right to their beds with no problems. Which made for happy parents since Doug was a little drunk and tired and momma was tired. Off to bed we went.

Thursday the 4th we actually didn't go anywhere or do much. For one it was like 110 degrees out. We got up around 8 or so ate breakfast and then woke the kiddos up fed them their breakfast and played with them till they napped around 1 or so. From there we picked up and cleaned the house. After we was done Doug decided to nap himself so while everyone was sleeping I headed to the grocery store and grab dinner (Crab Legs) on my way home I noticed they were still setting up for the fireworks. And let me tell you Doug's cousin who had twins a month after me took them kids and went to the park with all the rides etc. And we found out last night the her son was dehydrated and overheated from being out there that they had to admit him into the hospital last night. Now I am not saying Aubrey is a bad mommy but I would never take my little ones out in that heat for that long.

After I got home Doug and I started dinner and while they were cooking we fed the twins some foods and then ate dinner ourselves. After everyone was done the kids played and Doug and I watched TV till dark. Bryce laid down for his nap around 7 and was still asleep when they started the fireworks so Doug, Lilly and I went out on the deck to watch them. But the mosquitoes were eating Doug and Me's feet so bad they we set lets go in, next year will be better as the kids will be older and understand and enjoy it more so we can take them to see them. We headed in and watch them on TV sponsored by Macy's. after they were all over Doug and I headed to bed as we had to go back to work, which let me tell you it made it feel like it was Monday all over again.

So today (Friday) does not feel like Friday at all, but I am so glad it is as we have a fun filled weekend planned. That's for the next post!
