Pretzel Time

Doug and I went to Ameri Sports at Ameristar Casino on Saturday with a few friends Jeff, Sue and Tommy. This is our appetizer we ordered, and it was really yummy. And I think this is the biggest pretzel I have ever eaten or seen.

Birthday Wishes!

YARD SALE

We are having the biggest yard sale we have ever had this Friday and Saturday. Doug's idea since we are low on cash with him not working. You wont believe the amount of junk oops! I mean treasures I found in the basement. Oh yeah and his parents basement.
Of course as soon as Doug comes up with this bright idea, his doctor tells him to get off his foot. So guess who got to carry all the stuff from the basement upstairs. Yeah that's right Me! Thank god this is the last time, as I will never do this ever again.

Update on Dougs Foot

Today was Doug's follow up doctors visit. The doctor took more x-rays and since he has been off it, the ligaments look better so she wont have to do nothing with them for now. But she did say that he does need surgery. The bone in the heel that he fractured has to come out. She said if he dont everytime he walks on it, it is going to hurt him so bad he wont be able to stand it. So May 19th we have his foot surgery schedule. I am glad it is now because then it wont interupt with our IVF schedule, and then he can get back to work sooner. But after his surgery he will be off work for another 6 weeks. Bummer!

IVF Update

Well here is what has been happening since my last post.

I have been taking metformin 3 times a day, and birth control for the 21 days.
Starting the 16th I start my Lupron Shots and then I have a ultrasound and blood work again on the 25th. But then on the 27th is the big day we get to start all the other important shots to prepare my body for egg retrieval.

But in the mean time I had a appointment yesterday for a sonohystrogram and trial embryo transfer. This wasn't the most painful test I have had done, but it wasn't that comfortable either. But it didn't take long and I was out of there in 30 minutes or less. But the GREAT news was everything looked perfect and she said I shouldn't have any problems. Thank the lord, finally some good news.

Now I am just anxious to get all the shots and drugs going and for my egg retrieval day to get here. Its all beginning to set in now and its becoming real.

The way it is looking we will know the final results in June.
