A Busy Month

Doug's cousin was married a while back but decided to have a small reception back here at home on the 4th. They served dinner and desert and it was a family reunion all over again. Even though I never met any side of this family.
The kids went with us and were well behave until close to their normal bed time and Bryce got crabby. By then the party dies down so we decided to head home and get the kids to bed. We just relaxed the rest of the night.

The next day Aug 5th my Aunt Barb had a family party for the return on my cousin Lizzie from Haiti and for my grandmas B-day. We all ate and swan.

Aug 6th I took a half of day off work and took Lilly to her eye appointment. All checked out perfect and Lilly has perfect vision. Since we was done early I called daddy and had him pick up Bryce so Lilly and I could go to Mills mall and do a little shopping. She was a perfect angel.

On the 8th Doug, His sister and Dad and I went to the cards game. Sue got her company seats and great seats they are but it was a poor game. We lost like 12 to 1

The next day I started to come down with a cold and couldn't get into the doctor so I went to Walgreen's well care clinic were she diagnosed me wrong. More of that to come!

On the 11th finally I started to fell better so Doug sister, and mom took Emmy and Josh to the zoo so we met up with them later in the day since it was so nice. Around 1 we headed home and I started to feel sick again. My chest hurt and I couldn't breath. We had plans to meet daddy in New Baden at the picnic but as soon as I got home and got the kids down for a nap I decided to call him and ask him to come home early, he was down at the farm and take me to the ER as I really couldn't breath good. After he got home around 2 hours later I felt some better and opt to not go. But call the Doctor and got into him first thing Monday morning Aug 13th.

Good thing I did I was sicker than the nurse thought at Walgreen's and had bacterial infection that almost collapsed both lungs. I was sent up to rest with steroids and antibiotics. A week after my meds and I feel great.

On the 17th The twins had their 6 month wellness check up with shots. Surprisingly they did great this time and did cry long or hard. And this time I had daddy there to help me. Dr. Wagner said they both looked great, but Lilly was a little behind physically and we needed to get the therapy people out to work on her to built her up stronger.

Also on the 17th we went to lunch at Red Lobster and while we was there as I was heading out of the bathroom at fight broke out between 3 black ladies and their waitress. It was a crazy day

On Sat the 18th we attending a benefit for my family members that were hurt while working on Highway 64. 4 men in my family were hit by a driver speeding down the highway. 1 man my cousin Dennis was killed and the 3 other men seriously injured. To help these men and their families they held a benefit were around 3,000 people showed up to honor them and donate. It was a great time and I got to see tons of family that I don't get to see that often.

And so far this month has more to come!

Friday the 24th the kids turn 7 months old.

Sat we are all heading to the Zoo for Employee Day for Sues Company. Sues Company built the new seal aquarium so they are having a special day where we can join them for lunch and have the park to ourselves for free rides on train, carousel, etc.

Then that night the farm family is coming in town and we are all heading to Fairmount Racetrack for Party at the Park night. Kristi Doug's cousin who is prego herself is going to watch the kiddos and get a dose of about what she has to look forward too! Good luck Kristi Bryce is a mess!

And then last on the 27th the therapy people will be out to evaluate Lilly to make sure she is eligible for therapy. Fingers Crossed!

Oh yeah and Bowling has started! Look forward to may great scores posted by me and Doug. Yes Doug has joined the bowling world again!

Several Things That Happen This Month

I know all of these deserve a post of there own but I didn't take many pics so I figured I would throw it all into one post.

First on July 8Th It was little miss Sophia Birthday party at her grandparents house. This was a swimming party and it just happens to be the first time the twins got to go swimming.

July 14Th we had a "Bowling Buddies Bash" this ended up being a small party because most people were busy or already had plans but we got to see who we mainly wanted to see and that was Big Bobby Jakel (Zack F-ing Morris), The Stepp Family- Larry, Jill, Ri and Trey and then Darby showed up and we haven't seen him since we was married in Vegas in 2009 so it was great to see him. Plus I had my bestie Amy there and her daughter Kenzi and friend Kiya. And a local friend Bobby Bonds.

Let me tell you Bobby B had a heck of time while here, he wanted to hold Bryce so bad and did but that boy not once not twice but three times puke all over Bobby. After a few hours he decided to leave.

As for the party let me just tell you, we went through some food. The food is the following: 16 burgers, 20 hot dogs, 20 brats. Then around midnight we was all started to get hungry again so Darby and Amy went to Buffalo Wild Wings and brought back 100 wings that were gone with in 10 Min's.

Then the next morning we cook over 5 lbs a bacon 3 packages of sausage, 6 cans of biscuits, a pan of gravy and over 2 dozens of scrambled eggs. All was gone but some of the biscuits.

Then to top it all off we went through over 200 cans of beer. All I can say is we had a great time!
July 21st was the Sons of Buck Party- This is a party they hold occasionally. You purchase a ticket to the party to get you in the door and they have a dinner, free raffle for early buyers, basket raffle, game raffles, silent auction and live auctions. This party is to raise money for the Whitetails Unlimited. This was a fun time, Johnny his brother and sister and their spouses were there and his nephew that was our captain all was there. We enjoyed a great dinner and drank all the free beer we wanted. Doug did win one live auction and it was this Chair Johnny says it is his new (Deer Stand)I won a beautiful wine rack to hang on the wall with 3 bottles of wine. A basket with a $50 gift card and other items from Tony's Place in Maschoutah, and then a few other items from the early buyers raffle.

We did try to bid on a few other items in the live auction and that was: A Large tricycle for Bryce, and a Zip up outside tent to lock the kids in to play. All in all this was a fun time and cant wait to do it again next time. Thanks for the invite Artie!

Then Last this past Tuesday was Lilly and Bryce's 6 month birthday and since they were born on a Tue the 24Th and they were half of a year old we got a few family members together and went to Ravanellis for dinner celebration. And for once let me tell you the kids were so good. I guess it helped I let Bryce nap before we went and then as soon as we got there and before my food came I stuffed him with 2 jars of baby food and then switched and fed Lilly, just in time for my food to show up and I could eat in peace. Thank You for a hot meal! And sorry no pics of this event and I cant believe I didn't take any! Shame on me as a mommy!

After dinner it was home to jammies and bed and mommy and daddy time to relax and watch some TV!

I did have one other thing happen this month and that was my Spa Party on July 10Th. But I do have pictures to go on that post so I will save that one for a later time when I get all the pictures download. Hopefully this Sunday! Hopefully! LOL!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I will, we are busy beavers this weekend.

Tonight we have Michelle Karvelats benefit to raise money to help her son go to school. Michelle just passed away about a month ago.

Then Saturday Sue, Mom, Kristi, Betty and the Kids and I are heading over to MO to do some shopping at Buy Buy Baby. Baby shopping for Baby DooLittle that is on the way and Christmas present shopping for the Twins. Then we are doing lunch and were ever else we end up. Doug is going to the farm. I don't blame him!

Sunday will most likely be a day of relaxation besides a friend that may come over to visit and get her spa items that I haven't seen since December. And me blogging about my Spa Party!

Oh yeah and I almost forgot, my cousin Allan and his girlfriend Casey had their second son yesterday. Congrats to you both! And welcome to the family Theodore!

Re-cap of Our Weekend

We had a busy crazy weekend:

Friday night Doug and I decided to meet our Farm Family/Friends at a bar in Venedy, IL around 8. Before then they was headed to dinner so we also decided to head to dinner and went to Carlyle, IL to the Lighthouse for all you can eat Crab legs and buffet. We finished around 7 and headed over to the bar, we got there a little early so Doug and I sat in the car talking and playing a game against each other on our phones. Around 8 no one was there yet but the hubby was getting thirsty and wanted to go so we did. On our way in I forgot I didn't have my Drivers License and wanted it in case she asked for it since we have never been to this bar before so we headed back to the truck when Doug looked at me and said you didn't lock it did you, I said no you did from the inside, let me guess you locked the keys in the truck and he said Shit! Yes! Great we are over an hour from home in the middle of no where. Doug goes into the bar and gets a hanger but it wont reach so he calls his sister and asks her to bring the spare set. No more then he calls her his buddy from work who lives out that way drives by and says I can open it I will be right back don't have her come out this way. So after 10 Min's or so he returns and sure enough opens it in 10 seconds flat. Glad I know Doug's truck can be broke into easily. LOL!

After that was all taken care of that was about the time everyone showed up so we all headed in and drank it up. This is where everything turned ugly! The owner Tom decided it was a great idea to take care of all of us girls all night long and feed us shots and beers. So all the girls got wasted and the men got to watch. The night came to an end and everyone headed home. I don't remember much after this point but one thing and that was I couldn't close my eyes all the way home because I was getting dizzy and sick and that once we got on highway 255 I had to pee and get sick so bad that Doug pulled off and I jumped out. WARNING:This is were it gets gross, remember I said earlier I had crab legs well that stringy mush crab doesn't taste great when it comes back up, so mental note don't eat crab legs before a night of drinking. Finally home, pic up kids and put to bed ( hope they sleep in the next morning) and good night it was! Guess what Bryce decides to get up early, so thankfully so does daddy and lets mommy sleep till 10. After that mommy gets up and lets daddy take a nap. When he gets up and Bryce had his applesauce we all get dressed and head to the park, where it doesn't take long for Bryce to get crabby and want to go home for a nap. So we head home and stay in for the night since we was getting up at 4 am the next morning to go to Chicago to bowl the Peterson Classic.

Sunday morning we woke at 4 got ready and headed out the door around 5:30. Doug's mom came over till the kids woke up. We arrived in Chicago around 10:30 and bowled around noon. Doug bowled great and took over a high game, hope it stands up cause that a $500. pay out and then was in the lead for the squad for the first 6 games and had the potential to take over the lead over everyone but he had a friend also bowling in our squad on his butt. After the 8 games Doug finished Second overall and is in it to win $10,000.00 so far. Congrats to Tim for take over 1st and is in the lead to win $20,000.00. So now we just hope their places hold up and no one comes in and bowls better and we all get to win the big bucks! Bowling is over and time to drive back home! Mommy's tired and feels bad cause Daddy's driving but he lets me fall asleep all the way home. We get home around 10:30 pm get the babies and all go to bed.

The Highlight of My Night

So last night was the one night a week that I bowl, yes I cut down from 3 leagues to 1 and Doug quit all together.

But anyway last night while bowling we was also watching the Cardinals playing the Phillies. David Freese was kicking some booty and had a 2 run Double, a 2 run Homer.

Just as Ashley a girl on my team was throwing/releasing the bowling ball, Jackson threw his baseball to throw the last pitch to strike out the batter to win the game. Everyone in the place cheered and clapped.
Ashley was so startled that she just did something special,or possibly wrong that our team and the team we was bowling against laughed at her so hard. It was the funniest thing I had seen all day. But believe it or not it has actually happen to me before to.

Moving on up! My highest series so far!

So last night at bowling I shot 258, 225, 289 for a 772 series. If I wouldnt have chocked my second game I would have shot 259 and would have had a 806 series. I always tell Doug, I will never shoot an 800. And a matter of a fact I had this conversation again with him on our way to the bowl. But last night I was so close, one day it will happen.

Crazy Bowl Benefit for Autism

So this past Saturday a co worker and his wife and friends of Doug and myself had a crazy bowl benefit for Autism, there son is Autistic. A few of my other co workers showed up and we all bowled, drank and had a good time. I didnt get pictures as I forgot to charge the camera but let me just say we had some funny moments. One of them being when I had to bowl between Dougs legs, I have never seen him so scared in my life. But they had a great turn out and raised lots of money.

So this past weekend Doug had the Greater Ozarks bowling tournament to bowl in. We left Saturday afternoon to drive to Springfield, MO, all the way there we watched a redbox movie on the DVD player and then I slept the rest of the way. We finally arrived around 4:30 at our hotel The Lamplighter Inn. Everyone checked in and then went to the room to change so we could head to the bowling alley. The guys were supposed to start bowling at 5:30 but of course they didnt get to start till around 6:30, so while I waited for them to start I had dinner. After the guys started pratice I decided to head to the mall to not be so bored. I shopped the whole mall and then headed back to the bowl. I got back right in time to see Doug bowl 300 which gave him an 823 series. Way to go my Hubby! Also boy did I ever miss so much drama while I was gone. The waitress screwed up, the people on the lanes over were double jumping our players but it didnt help that most of our players were pretty drunk. But after bowling most of our group went to the Midnight Rodeo bar across from our hotel. Everyone there decided to get so drunk that one of our friends tried to grope Doug and I, another went back to the hotel with another girl but there is a funnier story behind all that. The rest of us left and went to the 24 hr restraunt attached to the hotel. This place was so loud with all the drunks in there that a buddy of ours and Doug and I ate and got out of there as fast as we could. We fianlly got done and went to bed so we could get up early and do it all again the next day. Well its morning and off we go to the bowl, once again when they started pratice I went to Bass Pro Shop and went shopping, but this time when I got back they had only finished one game but Doug shot 275 that first game. After bowling was done Doug finished with 2198 averaging 244 for the 2 days. Great bowling Love! Now it was time to head home and I was ready.

This year they started something diffrent. From here on out they only give one 300 game ring for a lifetime, and they made it where you can only pick from 3 diffrent styles. This was a touch decision but this is the one I choose on the left. I think that they look so much like class rings and they are made for a mans hand. Dont these people know that women have little hands. The other picture on the right is a pic of the womens 300 game ring that they used to have available. What ever happen to keeping these rings for the ladies. Luckly for myself Doug bowled a 300 last year and let me have the ring, I choose the ladies (the one pictured) so I have one. I wear it everyday. Not only does it mean something to me but then I can show my love and support for my husbands awesome bowling.

So last night I had my Thursday night bowling league. I started off the night bowling average shot 214 the first game and 206 the second game. I would have done better but I kept on leaving 10 pins. So its now the last game and I just said to my teammates that the night seemed long and I was ready to go home. Well its now the 3rd game and I am shooting very well. I had the front 9 when I realized that I just got the hardest strike out of the way and as I was walking back to my table some of the other ladies on the team noticed that I had the front 9 started getting nervous which was making me a little nervous. My mom of course could tell and tells me that its going to be ok, you can do this take your time. So I go up to the lanes and let the one lady next to me finish her frame and I started the 10th frame. I was nervous as this was the lane that I struggled with all night leaving 10 pins. But I threw the 10 ball perfectly fine not scared or nervous at all. It was flush in the pocket, everyone cheered. I walked back and looked up and there was so many people standing behind me watching. I got up to bowl the 11th strike and my legs and arm were jello, I was thinking oh no Im going to screw this up. I threw the ball and according to one of the girls I pulled it, but I was so in the moment I couldnt tell I just wanted the strike. Well somehow after pulling it, I managed to find the oil and bam flush strike again. Everyone screamed and cheered. This time I walked back and never looked up, I stared at the floor till I turned around. I grabbed my ball and took the approach. Now the legs more week then the last ball I got up on the apporach and told myself at least if you dont shoot the 300 you can still shoot the best game ever in your life. I threw the ball feeling like I had no power and week in the knees. Bam flush perfectly in the pocket. Everyone cheering and I so about to cry, cant believing that I just actually threw a perfect game. I walked back and everyone wanted high fives or to hug me I felt so special and that everyone cared. Thank you to everyone that congratulated me. It was the best experience I have ever had bowling. Because of shooting the best game of my life I no longer hate bowling and cant wait to go back.
