Congrats To the Toth Family!

Ok so I know I am a little late getting this up as Finley is now 8 weeks old. But I wanted to to tell Matt & Jenn congrats on their beautiful baby girl Finely. Matt and Jenn struggled to have a baby like Doug and I are so Matt and Jenn decided to do IVF and it worked and they now have a precious baby girl. Check out there blog stories and see pics at: http://toth2006.blogspot.com. Jenn hope you dont mind but I copied a few pics to post with my story.

I actually Did it! And I cant believe it!

I quit smoking, I actually quit, It wasnt an easy process but here is how I did it.
Well it started when my grandma got sick with cancer.Seeing her in the hospital in all that pain and not able to talk or do anything, especially when before she got it she was so healthy and could probably do more than some adults. She was very strong and looked young for her age. But it made me think that I dont want to end up like that or put Doug and my kids through that. My grandma smoked for 25 years and quit 20years ago. And even after 20 years she got lung cancer which eventually spread through her whole body till it took her life. I miss her daily and think that its not fair that it had to happen to her, why her? She did the right thing and quit so why punish her. But besides seeing my maw maw as I called her like that, I heard that she asked my aunt Kay as one of her dying wishes for her who also smokes to please quit. Since she asked my aunt that, I think that even though she didnt ask me that I should also do the same for my grandma because I know that is what she would have wanted. But besides all the I also wanted to quit for several other reasons. One I am trying to have a baby and smoking causes infertilty. Two because I have many breathing problems as it is why make it worst and three and one of the most important ones, cancer seems to run in my family severly and I dont want to die. I have to much that I still want to do in life and thats spend all my time with my amazing husband and raise a family. So I decided it was time. So this is what I did:
One since cigs are expensive I started off by finsihing that pack I had by cutting my cigs down to 1 or 2 a day, then after they were gone I used the nicotine patch. And so far so good, I have been a month and week now clean free and I plan to keep it that way. Yes granted at times I want it, but if I get busy doing something that craving feeling goes away. And just like last week I went to the boat and you can smoke there and after we got there I had one of those craving feelings and realized that I forgot to put my patch on. I thought oh great! here I am in a casino where you can smoke and have no patch on, but I ended up concentrating on playing cards and forgot all about it. I tell myself everytime I get that feeling to dont do it, it will go away eventually, and it does.

Best Friends

Ok So I have this best friend Amy Kerr that I met in grade school. She lived down the road from me where I lived at my moms house. I believe we started going to school together in kindergarten, but it has been so long I realy cant remember. But what I do remember is Amy and I were inseparable we played with each other everyday together. Then when our mothers would go out with each other and I had a babysitter of course Amy would just stay at my house. Well around 3rd grade Amy and her family (mother, mothers boyfriend, Brother and Sister) they all moved away. I wanna say to Belleville but that is when I lost all contact with her and never knew where she went to. Then one day Amy calls and leaves a message on my mothers answering machine with her new number, she said it so fast we couldn't catch it and I never could call her. That was the last time I heard from her. I guess she figured that If I didnt call her back, that I didnt want to talk to her. Which wasnt the case. Well its now been 20 years and after all this time we havent heard from each other, until recently. I got this bright idea since I had myspace and facebook to do a search and pull up ever Amy I could find and email everyone of them, just hoping one of them would be her. Well guess what? One of them was her and she emailed me back. We talked back and forth that night till we hours in the morning till we decided to exchange numbers. So now its only a few months till my wedding reception and I thought perfect timing I will invite her and her whole family, so I could see everyone again. The reception approached and they showed. Boy was I so happy to see them. Amy changed but she was still the blonde girl I knew when we was just little girls. Her mom didnt change a bit other than she lost alot of weight and got rid of her loser boyfriend Larry and married a great guy who takes care of all them. Then I got to meet Kenzi, by the look of her and her age I would have thought it was Amy's sister but it was her daughter. And actually half way thru the night and after drinking I said to Kenzi " go get your sister I mean Mom for me". So the whole night Amy, her family and I all hung out togther and her mom and mine tlaked to each other all night long. Then came the garter and bouquet toss. I had to bouquets one for the little kids and one for the grown ladies, I learn to do this from my first wedding. Well Amy and Kenzi ended up catching the bouquets. It couldnt have been more perfect. Then thru the night Amy had a crush on Doug's coworker Buster. Doug tried to warn Amy that he was a player and had a girl, but it didnt seem to faze her any. But Buster ended up catching the garter so I have a great picture of them two together. Plus one of Kezi with Ryan the son of friends of ours. I will get them post her very soon. So anyway to get back to the point Amy and I had not seen each other in 20 years and now even though she lives about and hour away from me in MO we still keep in touch and try to make plans together. We already have a vacation planned in May to go to Myrtle Beach together. It will be good times, and I will be sure to post pictures of our vacation. But I am so glad after all these years we can be best friends again! I love you Amy! :)

More Fertility News

Well I went back to the Doctor on Monday for my results of my bloodwork and what our next steps would be. He said that 2 of my levels were good, but my levels were I took the clomid were really bad and it appears that I am resistent to clomid. But he did say that my bloodwork showed no signs of PCOS. Thats a plus, but it still dosent explain why I have so many eggs lining on the bottomof my ovaries. So the doctor said that we our going to go ahead with the Labroskipi and Hystroskopi(Not sure if those are spelled correct or not) and check out what is all going on inside of me. Repair my tubes and anything elsee that needs to be done. After that the next month we our going to start 6 diffrent fertility drugs and day 14 do artificial insemenation. Continue the drugs and go in day 28 for a pregancy test.If it dosent take then we our going to try 2 more times. If these dont take we our going to go back to IVF. Right now its a waiting game. I will let everyone no more later.

My two cats that we had to give away and I miss so much!

So back in 2004 I worked at a vets office. While I worked there a coworker of mine brought in this cat she found that was just declawed and thrown out in the world all alone. He was sick and needed attention, so Brandi came to his rescue. I took care of this cat daily I fed him, gave him his meds exc. Just as he got better they tell me that he has got to go. I was thinking no I have gotten so attached to him. So what did I do I took him home. Boots was a very smart cat. After a few months a friend of mine her friends cat had kittens and my first thought was Boots and you will see why we called him boots, needed a playmate so we adopted a kitten. We named her Trinity Autumn and she was my lovable lap cat always wanted attention and to be loved on. After a few years she started having problems and would pee all over my house. But the after she would do it Boots would have to remark the territory. So it got so bad that I when I went to Alexandria, Virginia for training for my new job Doug took my babies to the No Kill Human Society, I would have never been able to do that. I thought it was best, even though I never got to say good bye to them. I miss them both to this day. I did ask Doug when he takes them there to make sure they pleasa stayed together. Boots or Trinity would get depressed or mad when they were not together. Well that didnt happen, Trinity was adopted out and my Boots is still at the Human Society and will be there now 2 years on March 16t. It breaks my heart and if I knew he would pee all over my carpets again I would go and rescue him again.
